More snow

About as soon as I wrote about how nice the snow has been…it warmed up, the snow fell off the trees and brought a lot of branches, needles and sticks down with it.

It got very ugly.

And then it started snowing.

But it was still above freezing.

So, a heavy, wet snow.

Not much fun.

Auggie stayed in and used one of the chairs as his jungle gym.

Bear made his pillow nest and had a nap.

Eventually, we all needed some air so out we went.

Still snowing.

The snow was the consistency of mashed potatoes.

Not the best snow for throwing with the snow thrower. Fortunately, my neighbor came to my rescue for the end of the drive (plow pile up) and around my mailbox.

But the day after, it cooled down and the next day the snow was dry enough to clear with the thrower.

As soon as I got things cleaned up…

It snowed again.

Ah, snow! I’m getting nostalgic for some nice white fluffy snow but although it is below zero here and snow is forecast for Friday, I’ll believe it when I see it! It’s amazing how much Auggie walks around in it. Doesn’t the fur on his feet get frozen?

Auggie usually doesn’t get the ice balls on his feet like Bear does. I think he stays on the front porch longer and his feet have a chance to cool down. Bear goes out faster so his feet are warmer, snow melts and then freezes between his toes. That’s my best guess :) !! Auggie does come in with little snow balls on his stomach, though.

I did wonder because our dog used to get ice balls on his furry feet, especially between his toes.
He loved playing in the snow so much!
