Freaky Friday
Friday morning dawned clear and cool.
Not a cloud in the sky.
But just after the Friday meeting started…my weekly VERY IMPORTANT Client meeting…the power went out.
I work on a laptop with a full battery so my computer was fine. But my primary internet connection is via the phone company with a modem and router that require electricity. And this morning, I was running the meeting as the rest of the team had other obligations.
Poof – dead air.
But, I have a Verizon Air card and I have 3G service at the house…so it was a momentary blip, but still…
Nearly 4 years in this house through blizzards and thunderstorms and wind storms and nothing more than blinking lights on the odd occasion.
A little freaky.
The power was out an hour – very quiet. It came on shortly after the meeting ended but before I called the electric co-op and it was lunchtime.
I decided to take a relaxed lunch break outside.
So did Karl.
Guess he felt a bit freaky as well.
