A Saturday afternoon

Twisted Dog: A variation of downward dog…

Twisted Woman: A glass of wine on a sunny SATURDAY (!!) afternoon :)! After noon, but considerably before 5:00…

Beardog on patrol.

This afternoon, temperatures at 60F! This is the first day that felt truly springlike with a warm-hot feeling to the air. And the sounds: birds, chainsaws, nailguns (neighbors working on their addition!), squirrels, small airplanes – everything and everyone enjoying a beautiful afternoon.

Bear alternated between lying in the sun and patrolling his perimeter with a few forays into Beardog Hill.

This hill, Beardog Hill, it apparently begs to be dug in. It was a favorite digging spot of Karl’s and now Bear has found it, too :)!

The waxing moon made an appearance in the clear blue sky.

And despite an early glass of wine, I DID start on the yard chores.

A Saturday afternoon.

Sunshine on a Tuesday

Tuesday lived up to both the forecast and its sunny beginnings.

I took Bear to Wayfarer’s and we walked the trail that leads to the highest lookout in the park.

Peek a boo views through the trees kept us company on the climb.

The view from the top!

At home, the sun warmed the woods and made it hard to stay inside working.

Bob spent a good part of the day outside but ultimately found his sunny spot inside…in the sunroom.

Good morning

I got an early start this morning. Bear and I were actually just coming in as I took this photo of the sun starting to appear above the mountains. The day promises to be true to the forecast of sun and spring temperatures. The birds were singing and a slight cool breeze stirred the air as Bear made his rounds and then had his morning treat next to me on Beardog point.

Good morning.

Transition

Where did this weekend go???

One minute I was wrapping up the work week and the next, I am wrapping up the week end.

I DID get work a bit caught up. I have food and supplies for the coming week.

Bear, Bob and I had moments and time and stomach rubs and walks.

It rained, it was foggy…

and it was sunny!

The light. It is that time of year when the light changes so dramatically on its way from winter to spring to summer light.

From less than 8 hours of daylight we have moved to slightly more than 12 hours of light. Most days, Bear and I are out without the lighted collar/vest – with just the bandana.

The woods smells damp and new.

There are some sprouts of new things here and there.

It is the last week of March!

Transition.

Wrapping up the work week

It is Friday evening, 7:30 p.m. as I write this post. I’m done working for the day but will have a bit of a working weekend to catch up from some distractions this week. Still…it is Friday and even if I will be working, it is a different pace, a choice – weekend working. For now, it is Friday.

This week was a mixed bag of sun breaks, wintry squalls, spring snow, rain and fog. Tonight, after a wintry day, a small fire is going in the woodstove. A new recipe: Foodie with Family’s Cincinnati Chili provided a warm and comforting Friday supper. Bear and I had a lunch time walk at Wayfarer’s, Bob kept me company through the afternoon group work session. It was a good day at the end of a good week.

Last evening as the sun made an appearance…

Bob was out also…

And so was some blue sky.

Enjoying

So…Spring. Technically, it is Spring – for more than a day now. Montana did not get the memo, but then Montana rarely does. That is just one of the reasons that I love Montana :)!

Here, at my house, in northwest Montana, we have been under a winter storm watch/advisory/warning for the past 24 and now for the next 24. It has snowed and rained and snowed and rained. Montana Spring!

Today, Wednesday, I had a very productive morning. Bear and I took a long break at lunch for a run to town…necessary errands and a walk. Back to work after. Suppertime: Bear was napping in the bedroom, Bob was in the sunroom and I took a bit of a break to just be with Bob and enjoy the late afternoon.
