Auggie, the rugger

Bear and I took a tromp through the woods.
Auggie came out while Bear was having an after walk treat.
It started to snow.
We all came inside.
I was watching TV in the living room.
At a break, I noticed it was very quiet.
This is the first that Auggie has napped on the bed during the day.
Another sweet moment.
Last night (Friday).
***Bear has never used the dog beds. I’ve tried them here, there and everywhere at one time or another. I didn’t use the woodstove last year as I had the platform step for him to get into the chairs and the platform was very close to the stove. But this year, the stove has been going and it makes the living room chairs too warm during the day. Bear has been napping by the sunroom door when not on my bed. I put the dog bed in a cool spot near where he’s been napping just to see if there was any interest. I was surprised that there finally was!
When it was not sunny…
When it was gray…
A fire was roaring in the woodstove.
Gray or sunny (it has been about 50/50!!) – we were outside as much as possible!
This Friday evening, after a sunny morning through late afternoon, we enjoyed a gray evening…
…that gave in to a beautiful alpenglow.
The wonderful week actually had nothing to do with the weather, but rather the JOY of Christmas, the love in my little house with Bear and Auggie, good food, a bit of work, a few tears for those not with us, but mostly a time of happy reflection; a wonderful Christmas week!
“True peace is not a balancing of opposing forces. It’s not a lovely facade which conceals conflicts and divisions.
Peace calls for daily commitment.
God is peace: let us ask him to help us to be peacemakers each day, in our life, in our families, in our cities and nations, in the whole world.”
Pope Francis, Christmas Mass 2013
You better not cry…
A little early, but we ARE at 48 North!
You better not pout…
I’m telling you why!
Santa Claus, is coming, to town!
A beautiful Christmas Eve Day in Northwest Montana: 36F, sunny blue skies and a possible, albeit early, sighting of Santa by Bear and Auggie.
BUT… We hope Rudolph is along as the forecast is for freezing fog overnight and on Christmas Day.
A very Merry, very Blessed and wonderful Christmas to all from Bear, Auggie and me.
