In my front yard
15 minutes ago: 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning.
Trotted up the driveway, ate some bugs out of the grass – I’m guessing bugs because they eat bugs – got a drink of water from the front porch water bowl and then trotted around the garage and out into the woods.
I saw as much as I did with time to get the camera and set for low light…because Auggie was on a window sill watching intently so I looked to see what he was watching.
It is a beautiful skunk and they do eat pests and small rodents so we will hopefully stay out of each other’s way.

Years ago my Uncle Harvey caught a skunk, and put it in his trunk. Never did get the smell out. Alcohol was involved.
Charles Curran, That gave me a laugh!
What a great way to start the day!
Anything is possible!
I thought there was something stinky in paradise this morning :)
Mike,
Hey, it was not the skunk … not even a spritz from him/her :) !! And it was in the front yard again this morning when I got up. My yard must have great bugs!
Wow! It is beautiful! I have never actually seen one but I have smelled one in Ontario.
Margaret,
Oh, dear…then you know this particular animal is better seen than smelled!
You can say that again. I thought I was going to die!
