So much to catch up on
My work is crazy, crazy busy…but good and SO much fun…in between the frustration of learning new stuff and 2 deadlines, etc. Ultimately, though …SO much fun that I didn’t go to town this Saturday and stayed home working…BY CHOICE!
And to add to the tech fun, my almost 2 year old phone was wigging out so I did a factory reset which went VERY well and as all the “data” was saved to the cloud, it restored itself admirably…yes, lots of restarts and catching up on versions, but all in all, it was done in 2 hours with minimal interference from me. While 2 hours might seem a lot, per some reading online, some people were 4-8-12 hours for all to come right so…whatever…at the moment, I am happy!
Fires. Glacier National Park is the biggie, but we have a Type 1 team here and it IS the West and the West knows fire. Media hype is horrible. Meanwhile, weather tomorrow (Sunday) and Monday is poised to help things and hopefully the firefighters will get a handle on things … AND be safe. Because of the media hype and tourism, I have some worries that unusual risks will be taken. I hope to be very wrong.
Back on the home front…
Relaxing on Friday afternoon…
Clear, blue sky…the GNP fire smoke is blowing east I think. Here, it is clear.
The Fuschia continue to flourish. They are so beautiful and every day I am so happy to see them doing so well!
This is the first year in many years that I’ve had porch hanging baskets with gorgeous blooms. They add so much to the front porch and my kitchen window view.
Happy, happy boys…on Beardog Point.
Nothing better than seeing them together!
Saturday…inside light as the weather changes and thunder rumbles and hopefully rain comes as well…
…along the road home.

I love the view of your road home. It is the essence of peace and the security of home. Thanks for sharing it.
Something about the light in the second photo instantly took me way back… in a good way. The shadows, bright sunlight and blue sky. I could almost smell it.
Your fuchsias are quite happy :)
That was a great post, full of good news (apart from the fires) and great pictures. Your fuschias certainly love it there! It is so good to see everything and everyone flourishing!
Beth, Thank you for sharing your thoughts!
Steph, Sometimes, the pines, a breeze, some blustery weather …they take me back to my grandmother Ruthie’s house or to a family vacation cabin in Michigan. I love things that take me to wonderful memories, also.
Margaret, Yes, despite more heat than I like…all is very well here and I liked this set of photos also :) !
Hello, Liz!
I’m so happy to have read a few posts of yours, and thank you so much for stopping by my blog. Thank you for the tips on when to visit Montana. Glacier National Park is definitely a must-visit for me.
I L-O-V-E your Norwegian Forest Kitty!!! I have always wanted one, but I happened across my two tabbies almost two years ago. Ours must be around the same age. Those, along with Ragdolls, are my favorite cat breeds.
The photos of your home and environment are so peaceful and transportive to me. I will have to make the drive north and really physically feel the expanse that is conveyed by your last photo. I’ve definitely felt the pull from work and projects here lately, as well. I hope you get some good relaxation time in, even though extra work can be fulfilling. I’ve chosen my busy season right now, so even though I’m tired from it all, I’m also happy doing it. :-)
Your fuschias are gorgeous, by the way! Have a wonderful rest of your week!

Jayme,
Hey, thanks for the visit here and the nice comment about my home and the fuschia – I do love my spot and I DO spend plenty of time relaxing on the front porch, my side yard chairs or my favorite wing back chair :) !
I hope you make it to this part of Montana and if you have time and want to visit, give a holler!
I adopted Auggie ( Auggie’s Adoption Story ) and didn’t know anything about Norwegian Forest Cats. He may not be a purebred, but everyone who has met him and knows that breed says: “Oh, a Norwegian Forest Cat!”. At any rate, he has the ear tufts, the double coat and big feet and he loves the woods and Winter.
