Sunset on the road home
Bear and I were outside this evening, making the rounds on our last daylight outing when I noticed an intense red glow to the West… a blazing sunset just visible through the trees.
I dashed inside, grabbed camera and keys, whistled Bear to load up and down the road we went to see what we could see.
It was worth the trip.
Glorious!
And to the East a bit of cloud and mountain top alpenglow: sunset on the road home.

The first photo reminds me of the sun setting behind an oasis in the desert. What amazing colours!
What a gift!
The last photo looks like a painting to me.
Thanks, Margaret – a beautiful thought about an oasis!
Steph, The backlight on the fields is something I love and bonus of the alpenglow – you are right, it WAS a gift!
