More Fall
There is a bit of gold in the woods…
… the few aspen have turned and a lot of leaves are down. The larch are just starting to lighten on their own way to gold.
Weather has been beautiful: pleasant temperatures, soft breezes, mostly sunny days with that magic light of the Fall sun angle.
I missed most of the Farmer’s Market season this year, but this morning Bear and I headed to town and brought back an abundance of Fall produce:
Onions, a garlic bulb nearly as large as the onion, flowers, tomatoes, carrots, leeks, beets, greens, apples and a beautiful bunch of a variety of sunflowers.
Good stuff!
Later … the road home.
And from the same spot but looking a little more to the north.
More Fall.

“Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness” is right. I love the golden colour of the fields on the road home.
I had to google it Margaret, but Keats! Beautiful poem.
You really captured the light on the road home. Beautiful! The contrast between the dark clouds and the remains of summer in the golden field are captivating. I was driving down a tree lined road the other day. The clouds were dark, leaves bright yellow–I was grateful for that moment.
I’ve always paid attention to light, but even more so with the photography habit!
So, yesterday late morning, returning from the market, the morning light on those fields was beautiful AND there was mist in the hills with the dark clouds overhead. I didn’t have my camera. I got home, grabbed the camera and headed back down to find that the clouds had joined the mist and totally obscured the mountains!
I know that those fields look especially beautiful when backlit by the setting sun, so I waited and tried again early evening. Big reward with the light as well as the clouds and even a bit of blue sky.
