Wow Liz, this is a magical photo! I can’t decide what I like the best; the reflection in the water, the contrast of crisp silhouettes of the trees against the softly blurred clouds… A fine photo!!! Thanks for sharing :)

Steph, It is magical! I was driving home from an appointment in Polson (south shore). The road hugs the lake most of the way but there are very few places to stop. I was enjoying the glimpses but really wanted a photo and was afraid it would be dark before I had a chance so had reconciled myself to just enjoying the light and color myself. I got to Blue Bay which has a park that is owned by the confederated tribes of the area, i.e. my Montana tags don’t allow me access like the State Parks. I hadn’t thought to having cash for the entrance fee so took 2 quick photos as I turned around before the gate. So, yes – magical that I got a photo that saves the memory of that beautiful drive!
Margaret, Yes!

Sometimes those ‘off the cuff’ photos turn out the best!
