Hi beautiful Auggie!
The progression of photos suggest that maybe Auggie was thinking of getting up, but part way through decided a stretch and reposition was a better idea. Cats are so sensible.

That was my take, also.
It was late afternoon and very blustery outside, although warm. Auggie does not like the wind. He has some hidey spots out of the wind, but think he finally got tired of it and came inside.
