House, yard and life.

The house has been shown twice.

Twice to real estate agents previewing for out of state clients.

Phht!

The first time, the agent was 15 minutes early and it was a bit of a fiasco getting Bear and Auggie situated.

Today, I got us all in the motorhome 45 minutes beforehand.

Auggie is not 100% comfortable in the motorhome and he panicked a bit when the car came in. He has not yet found a “safe” spot in the motorhome.

But after the car parked and the person disappeared, he did fine exploring about…until the person reappeared.

We have work to do.

Bear was on the dash and mostly quiet so I think ultimately that will help Auggie, but we need to practice.

After, we all tumbled out and enjoyed a late afternoon that was cool and a little blustery.

We relaxed…

…mostly.

Week End

Finally – the Rhubarb…not a lot but I think enough for a small batch of Rhubarb Chutney.

Cool cat.

VERY cool cat!

Cool and relaxed Bear!

Crackers.

Rosemary Garlic Crackers.

Yum.

Week End.

Pretty Days

The lilacs are blooming…

Very pretty and fragrant…

The yard is green, the sky is blue and the sun has been shining quite a lot, especially for early June.

The yellow jackets are tolerable – we can sit outside most evenings and not be bothered.

Auggie has discovered the fun of hiding and playing in the tall grass at the edge of the yard by Beardog Hill.

Pretty Days.

Monday

Monday.

6:45 p.m.

I feel the same way.

The house is officially listed for sale.

I’m between: “What did I do??” and excited for possibilities.

Draining.

Monday.

Week wrap up

The yellow jackets…

I keep emptying…

And refreshing the traps.

Although, today, Friday…a warm (72F) and sunny day…the activity seemed not quite as hectic around the house. Good news ??? I don’t know. It may mean that remaining queens are nesting.

A worry for another day.

Tuesday morning, it looked like the above.

Bear, Auggie and I have been enjoying quiet mornings as I had info that this was to come to an end.

Someone(s) purchased one of the lots on the loop. The build area was surveyed and marked last Fall. I hoped against hope that I was wrong.

But not.

Water well drilling equipment moved onto the property mid-morning Tuesday.

RATS!

We will focus on this and think on what we shall do.
